First of what may become series of accessories for your old Tri-ang, Tri-ang~Hornby and Minic items is a substitute load for the R.562 plane launching wagon.
Tri-ang certainly made some fascinating toys and my version of the plane launcher, with the simple plastic profile fuselage and sheet cardboard wings would, under ideal conditions, glide over 20 yards. The problem was that it looked unrealistic even to a child and also the wingspan meant that it could never be sent through a tunnel or girder bridge, or even pass alongside my station or the lineside accessories such as the mail collection and dump for the "command car" let alone clear the standard loading gauge. Here is an alternative. Don't expect it to launch or glide, it is just to sit on the launcher or act as a load for a well-wagon or a flatcar (a job that the R.631 crane wagon can finally be used for?). The wings are pivoted and, if they happen to meet an obstruction from the front, should fold back though you would only expect the wings to be extended for a prepare-for-launch diorama.
Straight off the printer they can benefit from some judicious fettling with a fine file or abrasive paper, nothing that a railway modeller should be wary of.
Suggested colours are black, white, grey, black, light blue, dark blue, dark green (reminiscent of the NATO shade), olive green (closer to the Battle-Space shade), red or yellow (presumably for peacetime test launches). If I happen to have other colours in stock then those could be accomodated. If you want to buy one please email me with your colour choice, if you do not then please be prepared to paint the model if you do not like the colour supplied.

This was made so that you can have a missile in the "ready to fire" position without compressing the spring with the risk of that taking a set (and without the stupid looking alternative of having the rocket hanging off the end of the launcher in a "failed to launch" attitude). At last something to replace that ridiculous looking (albeit competent at gliding) steamrollered yellow profile fuselage? With wings folded it will easily clear the standard loading gauge.
Potentially a suitable load for your Trestrol and bogie well wagons and give your R.631 crane wagon something to do?

The 50mm wingspan is over the standard loading gauge (but only 4mm wider than the width that launching wagon requires). I have had no clearance issues when running on my layout but your OO scale mileage might vary. The wings are a slot in fit and can always be trimmed or removed. If required I can substitute a pair of "folded" wings which will utilise the slot but keep tight in to the fuselage sides.
The booster/sled is a separate part. Priced individually in case you want different quantities as loads for your Trestrol, well wagons or other means of transport.
